Affori, the quiet side of Milan
Affori is the residence’s neighbourhood: a people-friendly Milan, a few minutes from the centre yet far from the hustle of the busiest streets. Once an independent municipality, it is now part of Municipio 9 and keeps its historic core around the church of Santa Giustina and Villa Litta, the former summer residence of the Counts Litta Modignani, now a library and cultural centre.
The neighbourhood is surrounded by Parco Nord, has schools, shops, pharmacies and trattorias in 1930s villas, and is served by the M3 metro and Ferrovie Nord trains.
Galeazzi Hospital
Near the new Galeazzi and the MIND area
Since 2022 the IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi – Sant’Ambrogio has been located in the MIND – Milano Innovation District, the former Expo site. For pre-admission patients, families and healthcare staff, the residence is a convenient base and quieter than the hotels around the trade fair.
From the residence the Tangenziale Nord ring road is a few minutes away: Galeazzi Hospital and the MIND area are about 11 km away (13 minutes by car) and Fiera Milano Rho about 15 minutes. And when you get back you have the private car park: a fenced courtyard and underground garages with direct access to the building.
For visitors to Galeazzi or Niguarda parking is free.
